If you haven't already paid you have to wait for CIC's request and you will be able to pay,other then that I guess they don't have any active mechanism in the online portal to pay for it.

When I wanted to pay my spouse’s RPRF, I emailed my local VO and they opened up a slot to upload the receipt.

My understanding is we have to wait for 6 months before asking for a status update, otherwise they don't reply before that? Should i bother sending an email at 5 months?

I would advice email them. They will reply atleast the status of your application within 2-3 days. Atleast you would come to know if decision is made or still in progress.........

Where did you send your passports for COPR? How long did it take get passports back? What is the validity?

I sent to Ottawa office. I sent and got it back within 7 days. IT was really fast............

Validity that I received is Oct 30 to Sept 26.

Oh that's cool,You can get information from Ottawa,but applications outside Canada,Help center guys don't have a clue about what stage our file is at.
