I have received 2 emails today from IRCC.

(2) Request to provide Police clearance certificate for India( I have attached below):

Police Certificate Request

· You must provide a police certificate for each country or territory where you have been present for 183 days or more in a row (since the age of 18). If you cannot get a police certificate, please explain why. A police certificate or explanation for no certificate is required for your time spent in INDIA.


I Have 1 question:

I lived outside of Canada in 2021 for 7 months. But i did not live in India for 7 months. I was in India for 5 months & 2 months in another country. So, according to application requirements, i do not need to provide Police clearance certificate.

So, do i need to provide it anyway or can i just upload explanation letter?

If someone has gone through this situation and answer this then it would be big help.

As you lived outside Canada for 7 months, IRCC is being cautious and requesting for PCC. They can ask for it even though its not 183+ days.

Hi all,
When filling out my employment history, I worked for a company in 2019 - 2021 but for the Occupation I just put my most recent designation.
But I got promoted and changed job titles during that time.

Would it be an issue that I grouped that employment history as one entry for the same company? Should I have split it up per each job title?
