Quick question,

So i’ve been invited to take in person oath next week and also got the invite. my question is do i have the option to get the paper certificate by the end of ceremony(or does it take even longer) even tho i opted for the electronic one?

the oath letter states that i will be asked for my choice at the ceremony registration. trying to understand how this works.

Greatly appreciate any advice

Congratulations! Based on what I heard you will get paper certificate by the end of ceremony. But someone who has done in person ceremony can confirm. May I ask what date you have to attend ceremony and which office? I am scheduled for Feb 9 but no official email yet, only tracker update.

if you go for in person you get your certificate that same day at the ceremony but you are only able to use it after 2 days when they have activated it in their system

You should call IRCC as you should have received the email by now.
Just got of the call….the lady mentioned now mostly they are preferring to send the email 48 hours prior to the date

I think you can ask for a paper one after the ceremony. I had the same question for my e-ceremony. I haven't received the e-certificate portal login and I wanted to double check that during the registration part they confirm what type of certificate we'd like? If anybody has already had their ceremony can you confirm if you were asked what type of certificate you'd like?

During the application filing process, you might have asked for the e-certificate, but if you want to change it to paper after the oath ceremony, you can let the Clerk know that you want to have a paper certificate.

As per the processing time, you will have to wait 2 weeks at least to get that mailed to you as per the Canada.ca website.
For the e-certificate, it says 5 business days, as per the website. Sometimes it comes early.

That really close to the oath date and the way IRCC works and the effort it takes to contact them, is not a comfortable situation to be in.

Is there anybody who has one of these 3 steps completed on separate dates?
Congrats! Your update gave me hope. I got excited to check my tracker and saw LPP still in progress lol.

Finally got my e - certificate portal instructions. For those wondering what the notifications process was after LPP:

* First notification - Tracker update (Oath Scheduled)
* Second notification - Same day (Oath Email invite)
* Third notification - Next day (E-certificate instructions)

I've seen a few people get it opposite and get e-certificate email first then the oath email. So keep in mind that it can be different depending on your office :)

Hi Sweet2818, I am on same page, can you please call me at my number 4167269932. Thanks

Hello
Test date is 01-Dec. AOR is 14-Nov.
No updates since then. LPP in progress.
I think it is Scarborough office.
Anyone else in this situation?
Is there a separate active group for Scarborough office?
