Which visa office and when did you get the email?
Office is Niagra
Got email today.
Anyone got Background passed without fingerprint request? Just trying to understand if they request them from everyone? If not from everyone, from majority or minority? Thanks
A minority get the FP request. It's could be random, or if you have a common name, or a similar name to someone else, or they want to run an extra check on you.
Hi,
My LPP was completed Jan6
I got email to download e certificate but in tracker ceremony has not started.
I have a problem.
I am outside canada.
How do I tell them I cannot attend oath.
Will they send another email?
If you can, try your best not to reshedule. Rescheduling can be a nightmare, it can take months or even a year.
Btw, how many times did you travel in the past 3-5 years? I just want to understand how travelling often might impact the processing time because I travelled every summer.

I dont know when Oath date is so cannot book return tickets.
I have family emergency so cannot come right away.
I have travelled for 5 months each year since last 3 years in winter.
So a lot..

Maybe wait for them to give you a date before you ask them to reschedule cause you might figure out a way to make it - maybe you can come for 2 weeks, do the oath and the passport and leave again without needing to worry anymore. Sorry about your family emergency, I hope things get better soon.
also, thanks for letting me know about your travels, that's reassuring.

I am also Vancouver office and my LPP has been in progress since Dec 15. Additional documents were requested for physical presence on December 22 and submitted same day but there has been no progress.
Honestly, I would be a lot more relieved once my LPP is updated.
My latest update was on Nov 29th, and that's when my test got updated to completed. Nothing then..
It is so strange they don’t do any steps beyond a Test for everyone with AOR in late November onwards.
Yup.. I am seeing everybody else is getting their LPP completed. Oh well. I just don't care at this point. Let it be

I am just curious whether my ceremony will be in person or online. I have not received the Oath email yet but it is scheduled for 14th February as per my tracker. I opted for a Paper Citizenship certificate. There are no dates for my city yet but they have only posted dates till 9th February. My city usually has at least one citizenship ceremony every month.
Got email for oath for February 13 Vancouver office but I am flying to the us with my passport 2 days after my oath , I will not have my pr card neither my Canadian passport anyone knows if I can travel back with no problem ? or If I can request any kind of citizenship prove?
I cant get through with IRCC on the phone
thanks

Same here, it’s a bit frustrating seeing everyone getting their LPP completed. We can’t do anything but just wait.
