Correct, I got the invitation for the test the day after I submitted my FPs. Background verification didn’t clear until a day after I took my test.

Great. Please update when your tracker’s additional info requirement notice disappears. Even though I confirmed with agent on the call that it’s ok, my tracker still shows “waiting on you”.

No change yet though it's been more than a week since medical surveillance team told us they have updated the application with notes. The additional info requirement is still there.

Anyways, our test status moved to completed meanwhile.

My police certificate will expire on June 2023, I submitted that along with my application. I already took the exam and passed. Just wondering if I don't get an invite for oath taking by June 2023, will they ask for another police certificate or should I contact them now and let them know the situation?

Alex, it's certainly not fair that you couldn't visit your grandfather but immigration is a lottery we have no control over. Some get lucky, some are particularly unlucky. What can you do? If you can't cheer for others, at least don't diss them. That's not very nice.

Won't your PR status allow you to go leave Canada and Return? I am just curious why you need the citizenship to travel considering you are a PR. If in case your PR card was expired, did you reach out to have it renewed urgently? It's easy to blame IRCC but we have to be responsible with our own status in Canada, too. I hope your status get updated soon.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My mother passed away during the process , I went to her funeral as I had PR card. Citizenship wasn’t necessary for me to go to my own mom’s funeral.

The PCC expiry doesn't matter as far as you don't go there and live for over 6 months after the Citizenship process is "In Progress".
