I saw someone received an AOR on Nov. 4th, application was delivered on Oct. 3rd (paper).

Mine was also delivered on Oct. 3rd but haven't received anything as of now. Anyone on the same boat?

Hopefully mine will not be returned as I forgot to write our names and DOB on our pictures.

Okay, I have an update. I just received and email regarding passport gap. See below, no AOR yet. But maybe I can still consider this as good news?


Passport Gap('s):
There is a gap in the validity period of the passport
covering the (5) years immediately before the date of the application.
Please provide an explanation why the passport does not cover the entire period of time from 2021/12/22 to 2022/04/26 and whether you traveled outside Canada
during that period.

why is october AOR going really slow ?

We can only speculate... They must have moved resources away at Sydney, NS to target other streams/products. Or There were reports that paper applications are now diverted to New Waterford, NS - issues with that office because of staffing levels. Or existing staff is diverted to training new hires.

Anyway it's frustrating when before Fiona (hurricane) paper applications were seeing AORs in 1-2 weeks and online applicants were seeing AORs in days. I hope they pick up the pace again

has anyone here submit a police certificate from Dubai?

Yes i did, you could do an easy online one if u have a fingerprint in dubai police system, otherwise you would go with the long steps process , first fingerprint in your city it should be approved office, then take it to local notary , then to Deputy provincial secretary office for authentication , then to UAE embassy in Ottawa , then you will make an online application at dubai police for police certificates (outside of UAE), then attach everything with the original fingerprint and send it by DHL to dubai police , And at the end make a cup of coffee and take a break ... DONE

Submitted my online application on 15th Oct '22 and it got returned on 25th Oct '22 due to incomplete information.
I rectified the issue and re-submitted it on 25th Oct '22.
