"We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents"
Documents requested were -imm5406e, Schedule A, Birth Certificate & Travel History

Does this mean it will still take time for approval? My AOR was Oct 15, 2020 and it's already been 8 months. Any ray of hope?

IRCC wants an updated info, based on which it will be ascertained if any additional PCCs or checks have to be done. If nothing has changed, then you need not worry.

Usually if there are no changes and no further documents are required, then a few days to a few weeks. However, it will depend on whether you are physically in Canada or not.

@legalfalcon well, thanks for the info. I am now in India (just a vacation) and planning to get back once the rules ease up a lil' bit. But I haven't informed IRCC reg. this vacation plan. How would they know? I mean there was a signature field in the Schedule A form which wanted a signature with date and place and I did mention my current place (India). Do I have to update them once I land in Canada?
