My AOR is on 28th Oct 2020. Passed Med on 4th october. Due to backlog in VFS center I could not provide my bio metrics. It is scheduled on 1st Feb 2021. Do you think background check will be on process or they will start after my bio metrics.

Biometrics are connected to background check, so most likely it will be on hold 'til biometrics are done.

I got lucky, there is only a small window that opens, in batches, from time to time. Just have to check appointment portal 5-6 times a day. I got BIL on 17th Nov, so I checked portal everyday until 30th Nov when I was able to get appointment for 14th Dec.

Yes, I downloaded Freetone app, I was assigned a Canadian number for free, so that was how I was able to dial the number.

Hi Shank, Are you a Bangladeshi Resident? My timeline is almost the same as yours. However, there was no IP1 from the very beginning. It was IP2 all along.

Na, I haven't called or plan to call before the 180 days deadline. As this is a new year, I'm expecting things to change and some delays.

I heard the quarantine is not required for Nepalese and Indian nationals as per the bilateral agreement. When you call the AI office, they confirm the same that only PCR negative report is required, and there is no 14 days quarantine mandate. Please check more details on the Nepal Air website.

Yes, it’s the correct number to call IRCC from outside Canada. Well, you have to try until you get connected even if it means trying 100’s if not 1000’s of times. My two cents, try to call just before 8am and after 3pm local time you might get lucky!
