Anyone with AOR Oct 9th that has not received any updates yet?
I'm CEC (inland) and have no updates yet regarding the BIL and MEP (in advance)
 
I got my BIL today but I was only able to secure appointment for biometrics collection on 17th Dec. Almost 3 weeks from now. Does anybody know if ircc would still keep working on my application or will they only proceed after collecting my biometrics?
 
Is it advisable to apply for the work permit simultaneously along with PR application? I am dependent in a PR application but I might find opportunities with my employer in Canada as well. Since PR can take long time , my employer is willing to file Canadian work permit for me. Would like to know if it has any kind of impact on ongoing PR application.

Ideally it should not have any impact. Just like to know if anyone had similar experience or knows people have done the same in past.
