11 months!!!
I think... Many of us had this experience with rude agents providing over- extended timelines... & A few were lucky enough to have PPR within a week after that call..

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with IRCC, they told me the bring forward date was 12 May, I have been at the security step for about 5 weeks now.
He mentioned in the notes that it's mentioned in regards to the security that it's under comprehensive TA (not sure if I heard him correctly) Anyone knows what it means? Could it mean that security recommendation was provided by the agencies and now it's being reviewed for approval by the VO? Or maybe he meant PA (primary applicant) meaning that the primary applicant is under comprehensive security screening and the secondary applicant is passed?
@SithLord
my timeline is:
AOR 30 Oct 2018,
Medical passed + biometric request: 27 Nov 2018
Eligibility passed: 12 April 2019
Criminality passed: 20 Nov 2018 and then checked again 12 April 2019
It simply just means comprehensive security checks are still on going.
So if it's 5 weeks then I suppose they must have initiated the checks after you passed Eligibility.
I am also Inland applicant and everything same buddy!!
My status just updated.
'background check' is still showing 'we are processing your background check.' However, the wired thing is 'review of eligibility' changes to 'we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements'. Mostly, if I am at IP2 stage which means I already passed the eligibility check. But why it reverts to check eligibility again?
Does someone have a similar thing?
Hi all,
Just had a call with IRCC.
Agent explained that all stages are passed (I asked about eligibility, criminality, background)
only thing what's holding my application could be that I've payed my PR processing fee AFTER transmitting my application (Date was May 8th) and someone has to check and approve that I've payed all the fees.
He also stressed since I am inland applicant, they sometimes not sending PPR but setting up a meeting at the local office (in my case Vancouver) to gather the landing permit (Does someone has any info about that?)
BTW processing office: Ontario (didn't get the name)
AOR - 13th Oct
IP2 - 6th May
Eligibility - under review
Criminality - passed
Security - running a background check
Just spoke to an agent. He told me that my security is still in progress and that it was started on the 8'th of April. He also said that he would ask an officer for an update and that it looks reasonable for me to call back one month later if there is still no update. Well, I will wait for one more month, there is nothing else I can actually do. 7 months of waiting tomorrow

The only really positive thing I got from the call was that my English and accent are not that awful - the agent said he was surprised that I called outside Canada
Gives some hope that I'll be able to speak to people later in the country

I am in this position too. I have heard that if you are going to get an interview instead of PPR, you may have to wait 2-3 months past the date that your application was "approved" for the interview appointment due to backlog.

Same here...

Congrats, you passed the biggest hurdle. Likely your in queue for landing interview. Currently the wait time for Vancuver VO is up to 3 months.
Good day all,
I am really worrired. I got this response after sending an email 2weeks ago.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.
Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.
Regards,
What does this mean? Am I in security screening?
I am still on IP1.

Many people have had this response, and the general consensus is that you have one or more items of your eligibility under "review required". If you have not ordered GCMS notes, I would recommend doing so to find out what their concerns are. Once you have the notes, you can try to figure out if there are any additional documents or letter of explanation that might help to clear things up for them.
Hi guys,
My status just updated.
'background check' is still showing 'we are processing your background check.' However, 'review of eligibility' changes to 'we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements'. If my understanding is correct, the application is at IP2 stage which means it already passed the eligibility check. But why it reverts to check eligibility again?
Does someone have a similar thing? Or is my understanding wrong?
Thanks in advance.

The online status does not tell you very much. You will get better info by calling the call centre and directly asking for the status of your eligibility, criminality and security stages.
Lets hope we wake up to PPR in the morning

Think I maybe in similar position too.
Don't think we can expect our golden mail in the next batch
