Mine almost two weeks over 6 month deadline

Hi buddy,
I called CIC yesterday after waiting for 40 minutes on hold.
Agent said that your application has been approved and PPR email was sent on April 9th. However I checked my inbox/spam and there is nothing. He said will send PPR email again.
I just hope I get it quickly and they give enough time for me to send passport.

did you ask them when your file got approved? any ghost update or ip2?

Well just in case if you don't get email by 2nd May, I would suggest you to ask for extension to submit the passport. you should get it easily as you have valid reason. in the meantime keep everything ready from your side. photographs and passports.

Atleast you got through.i was calling and the computer kept on hanging up on me or said they can't connect me to their official.

I am Akash Rupareliya. I have one update for every October applicant.

My application details:

AOR: 07 October 2018
Medical: 08 November 2018
I am currently in Canada on work permit.
I and my wife applied for Federal Skilled worker program (FSW) - inland. My wife is a primary applicant since she had one year experience in India.

My application is showing under background check since then. No additional documents required. No interview required.

Reason for the delay:

Yesterday, I called CIC about my application status. They said it's under background check. Then I asked what kind of background check. Agent was very nice - he said it's under criminality check and after that they will do security check which is not started yet.

After that, I asked the reason of delay. He said that I checked your application and everything seems ok. After that he also mentioned the reason. My file was in Sydney, Nova Scotia but because of massive load Montreal and Sydney offices are sharing their load. So now your file is transferred to Montreal office. He said that is the only reason of delay. Since they are getting massive applications they transferred some file to Montreal.

Request for fast processing:

I also requested for the fast processing. After certain time period we can request for fast processing. He said for October application, if you don't heard anything till the first week of August then we can request for the faster processing.

I hope these responses will give some relaxation to you.

No , the agent was very slow and put me on hold for very long to answer my simple questions. I just didn't get that question in mind to ask and was focused on my PPR email.

Tomorrow I will complete 7 months and my application is still stuck at Ip1 stage. Just waiting for an update. Hope that the coming week will bring some good news!

After certain time period, agent has authorization to do that. I think, it's after 10 months (From AOR). He mentioned that, agents get option for faster processing after certain time.

Thanks man, I actually asked the agent that i should be getting a new deadline from the date i get my new PPR email. Will wait for 2-3 days for that.

Also, could you tell me what all things which are required to be submitted with the passport & photo. How many days we get it back with the stamping.

Secondly i can go myself and submit the passport to the New Delhi Canada Embassy or it has to be couriered only to some other office.

You gotta keep trying. It took me 5 attempts to get through. I waited 40 mins to hear the agent. Need to be really patient.
