Usually it’s 1 year from date of your medical i.e. they will give you the last date of entry on or just before 12 months from your date of medical. If you do not enter canada by that date mentioned in your copr letter, your PR is cancelled.

Ghost update is basically an email you receive in your account that says your application has been updated, but when you see the application - it has no change at all. As per the trends, it is a positive sign for early PPR.

Thank you to everyone who has been the guide and support in this journey. In our case, things went as per trend. We saw that it takes 1 month for medicals to be cleared, 4 months on avg for going into IP2. After that, we observed that PPR email were coming within 10-20 days. Within 6 months, they approve PPR for 85% of the applicants. I also got to hear the news of another friend who got PPR email after 8.5 months which was a much longer wait than ours. Nevertheless, it has indeed been a patience testing journey with every step having some doubt if we go on the next one.
