yesterday I called CIC, agent mentioned Eligibility and background is done and my file is at Edmonton office. How long will it take to move ahead?

Anyone with Edmonton? and how it their processing time?

Hey Guys, AOR 8th October, I've called cic yesterday and I had a very nice Lady on the phone after waiting for 24min, I've got the following file status:

Eligibility : passed
Security : passed
Criminality : passed
Medicals : Passed
Processing center : cic-OTTAWA
Witch explains the second ghost update last Saturday!!

Do you have an idea of how much time does it take for them to generate the email?

I am not sure if it is any help. I have exactly the same timelines hopefully will have a ghost soon! I thot the change from IP1 to IP2 was worrying. The wait after IP2 is the worst.

man i was desperately waiting for ghost update on Wednesday because that would have at least meant approved for me...would have been a huge sigh of relief...i noticed that those with 12th oct aor got ghost update exactly after 1 week after ip2....i was really hopeful of ghost update on Wednesday since i went in ip2 Wednesday morning IST...i called yesterday and the agent pretty much said the same as urs....eligibility or criminality, one of them was done and the other was under review....i hope my eligibility is met because security is quick ....i was seeing on immitracker many guys of 15th and 18th oct also got ppr....so i was really worried, glad there is at least one with my aor....i am in despair...i dont even hope for ghost update by tomorrow

I was able to speak to Agent. I got below status:

Eligibility : We are reviewing your eligibility.
Security : Not Started
Criminality : Done
Medicals : Passed

They said we can't really tell you more about Eligibility timeline or step or status.

Any advise, please.

For me it's 164... and I am so exhausted of waiting. I was going to get PPR in 67 days lol

Hahaha....for some reason I was expecting same .....with in 70 days or so....and now frustrated as hell

Since then there has been no update.Below is current status of my application.


Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Nothing....just wait patiently as most of people are doing here....just pray that some fine day you wake up with ppr

Calling CIC - steps

1- CIC call centre
+16139444000

2- English press 1

3- immigration press 1

4- transfer to citzship and imm can processing application press 1

5- status or processing times press 1

6- become permanent resident press 2

7- application starts with E press 2

8- then enter application number followed by #

9- listen to the entered number and press 1 to confirm

10- enter the year of birth and then listen the entered number and press 1 to confirm

11- hear the details

12- then press 1 to check status (there will be a pause)

13- hear detailed status at the end press 0 to speak to agent

Use Skype or a US / Canada number or any international number service
