I have got a new passport after renewal so
I initiated a cic request and sent a photo of my new passport.

How long does it take them to update? Do they confirm over email that they have changed my passport number?

They should take about 2-3 weeks. However, the final COPR letter/mail should hopefully have the latest passport number. For update, CIC generally sends you the update mail regarding the document received and updation.

By the way i uploaded the new pdf of passport front and back pages but did not write in the new passport number and the expiry in my comments on the page. Only that they should update my passport to this new renewed passport. That should be enough?

Hi everyone,

I’m an FSW - inland applicant. I graduated from my course in December 2018 & got a job offer in January 2019. Should I update my application with the job offer? Or should I be updating it only if it’s an LMIA company? I don't know if my employer has a positive LMIA
