What happens between "Medicals Passed" to "Background check started"? Is the file simply sitting with no action or there are some activities being done in the background which are not notified to the applicant?

Anywhere between 2 months to 6 months for 80% of the applications. It is very hard to predict when can one expect the PPR.

@muz , ok that's different from my case since my status changed to IP2 a week ago ( first week of dec). but I don't need to give my biometrics. I'm under PNP-Manitoba out land, AOR - Oct 2, MEP Nov 3.

@shelly_ksa , I never check it. just waiting for the golden mail..last two week is holiday in CA so I never expect any movement in my application.
