Hello everyone.

Is it possible to receive Oath letter in the mail before Ecas is updated with Oath info? Has this happened to anyone in this forum?

Hi Everyone,

I am nearing the end of my application process, here are the following details and keep in mind I applied in Ottawa:

1) Date of Application Submission: 5th of October 2016

2)Acknowledgment of application received (through CIC online portal): 13th October 2016

3)Acknowledgement from CIC that my application process has started: 31st October 2016

4)Invitation to appear for citizenship test: 2nd December 2016

5)Invitation to take oath: 19th January 2017

***NOTE***

When checking my status of my application after I wrote and passed the test, I noticed that my status changed from "processing" to "decision-made"; however when clicking on the link there was no new information found until 2 weeks after when I was invited to the oath ceremony.

FYI---- I applied as a single person and I just wanted to share my experience so that people on this forum can benefit from it. I wish all of you good luck with your process. ;D

One of my friend's interview/test was on 12 December and he passed the test but ECAS still show in process. Whereas I have seen almost every person status is changed to DM after test. Isn't unusual that status is still IP?

"We sent you correspondence on December 20, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

Has anybody received a similar message before? Should I be worried?!

might be file review or back ground check is still in progress.. when its complete and they take decision ..it will be DM..

Gussj..gave you answer in the September thread.. yes it is possible... Ecas might be inconsistent. so keep eye on both mail box and Ecas

Today my ecas updated.

"We sent you a notice on December 21, 2016 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 13, 2017 at 1:15 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment."

Received AOR on DEC 01, 16. looks like everything is stuck after 12 Dec. Nothing much is updated in IN PROCESS section after that. Waiting for further process. I think it gonna be in next year now...

Has anyone from Halifax received a test invite? I've been in process since Nov 3rd. Just wondering if it's my application or office.
