October 2016 - Citizenship Applicants

My hubby sent his citizenship application on October 18. He was eligible on August but we were late because of a death in the family.

Do we get the AOR by mail or email?

Can I login somewhere to see his application status?

It's been so long since his PR that I cannot remember how it works!

if u guys provide email in the application then its through email.
In AOR u get application No and UCI no. which is used to see online application status ONLINE in CIC website.
You can add your self in spreadsheet and follow the trends of other applicants

How do you know you're "in process" ? Do you receive another email just like AOR ?

You do not receive an email for "in process". You will be able to find if you are in process once you log into your eCas.

Are you able to access eCas? I had received AOR last week but still not able to look up the case information in eCas.

Does anyone else has any idea about how long it normally takes to see the info on ECAS? I thought 7-10 days is a good time gap.

in my case it take 3-4 days to access ecas

I guess I have been left out for now. Will probably wait for few more days to see if I can get access to ecas before contacting IRCC.

I spoke with IRCC and apparently once you have any update only than you can access ecas for sure. However, if your file has opened and nothing has been done on it than you may or may not have the ecas access.
