Does everyone has to go for an interview after the test? How long is the interview? What questions do they ask?

All adult applicants have to go to interview. The questions asked do vary based on your unique situation but mostly it is about your current employment status, if you have traveled since application, if anything has changed and then also mostly just checking your passport(s) and maybe other documents that were requested to bring to the test.

Hi everyone. My ECAS has been updated to show my family was sent letter for Oath on January 10. Oath date is Feb 3.

Hi Friends,

Is it a problem to go for 3 weeks vacation out of Canada after you submitted your application and before your written test/interview ?

Will it cause any doubt to the CIC officer on the day of the written test/interview with the new travel stamps on the passport ?

Anybody in the same situation, can you please answer, how was your experience ?

Does it initiate an RQ because of this ? Will it delay the oath date ?

Short term absence away from Canada will not raise issue. I took 1 week out of Canada while waiting for test invite back in December.

My timeline is
submit by mail: Sept 29
Cic received : Oct 4
IN Process : Nov
Letter Received for exam : DEC 11
Exam dateec 19
DM: Dec 28

well the ceremony took about 2 hours.. They lined us up and validated our documents ( they asked for the 3rd page of oath invite signed + PR card only- You still need to bring your other documents but they did not ask for them)
The judge gets in and gives a speech for 10 minutes.. Then the oath is administered. After that we went (line by line) and signed papers that affirms our oath and citizenship.. we continue to receive our certificate from the judge after that. You can let some one take a picture for you as well.
After that, we chanted the National Anthem.. and that was it
