Most applicants pass - but those who don't prepare well, or have poor command of english/ (or french - if they are taking the test in french) can fail.
If you fail you'll get a second chance, and if you fail the second attempt as well you'll be asked to meet a citizenship judge who will ask you questions directly to test your knowledge about Canada.
I am new to the forum, here's my timeline
App recvd - Oct 31, 2017
AOR - Dec 14, 2017
In process - Jan 23, 2017
Winnipeg
I applied for PR as an international student with PGWP. Unfortunately CIC used my previous mailing address for my citizenship application. I have no idea why they would do this dumb thing when my citizenship application clearly states my current address. Anyways I guess this address changing process delayed my timeline a bit.

If you mean your mailing address on ECAS was your old address, then that's not an issue. It will automatically update to the correct address after your application starts processing. Alternatively, you can just submit a request through ECAS to update it, which is what I did.
A lot of us had this issue, and it has nothing to do with the delay. They don't physically mail out the AOR or even Discover Canada, as long as you provide an email address.
My wife and I Did our test and interview on 8th Feb and we both passed. We also had our interview and we were prepared with all the documents which the officer asked to check. I was asked to do finger print at the same time of receiving the test invite and I did it three weeks ago and when I checked with RCMP they confirmed that the results were sent to IRCC in the following day of doing my finger prints. I also checked with IRCC on the phone 10 days before the test and they confirmed that the finger print was received.
Surprisingly I checked today eCas so my wife status is decision made and mine is still in process?!
Does it mean there is something wrong around my application? Very frustrating and very depressing
Are you seriously complaining about this (on such a forum) when some october applicants are still waiting for AOR or August 2017 applicants are just done with their tests? Seriously?
Hi Team and Specially who got PPQ/QAE request:
I got the mail by Canada Post for citizenship exam which is scheduled on 22 Feb in Mississauga
They asked me 3 documents which I attached with PPQ/QAE DOCS: Original IELTS, Employment letters and Letter from Landlords.
This is a good news, that they opened my document submitted and verifying it with originals.
PPA/QAE decisions seems to be as regular applicants. They are really doing fast.
Cheers and have a nice weekend guys!!
IRCC picks applications at random, and applicants are asked provide all sorts of proof, in the form of supporting documentation, to prove that they were really physically in Canada for the time they claimed to be on the calculator.
I gave my test yesterday Mississauga office. Exam as usual from book only.
My experience, no need to do question available on internet.
In interview, officer is surprise to see my application because she is not use to with new forms.
So she ask me too many question regarding my outside country visit where I have only two visit outside Canada in last 8 year.
Today morning, my status change to decision is made without any oath letter. Is it any problem?
My ECAS has only four line.
