Hello Guys, I have a question about citizenship surrender procedure. I have my an appointment coming up soon for myself and my son. I haven't yet received my son's Canadian passport. Is it possible to submit his application without the Canadian Passport. I have his citizenship certificate and my Canadian passport. If yes, what should I write in the Foreign passport section of my son's application. Are there any additional documents to submit as well.

I applied via postal application from Atlantic Canada to Brampton BLs- selected Toronto consulate. No originals were asked. Did you apply via postal applicaiton?

I did postal , they asked for original Canadian passport, old indian passport

Did you also submit a visa application with your surrender application? If yes, how long did it take for them to process it?

I have the same status since a few days now

Same status for my wife's application as well. Changed to this on Jan 10th.

Applied in person on Dec 21 at Toronto BLS.

Application status on BLS tracking and Passport sava: Processing

I don't think they would take anything original. I just went for surrender of my passport today & there are at least 3-4 candidates that are there because of a minor error in postal submission. Just do a walk-in or better book an appointment for Toronto BLS.
They gave me back my 129$ DD as they said now application is different for postal vs walk-in.

Question: can i submit my wife's and Kid's OCI application in person or does my wife need to be there for her application?
Note: Also need to submit Surrender Indian passport for the wife.

Whats the best way to get an appointment for walk in or could I just do walkin?

Hello,

Quick question, in the section where we have to fill in the passport information, what should we enter as previous passport information ? Do we have to mention the previous indian passport information that was surrendered ?
