When I include copies of wife's documents like passport, COPR etc in my application set, who has to self attest her docs- is it she or me (document owner or applicant)? How did you do?
Marriage certificate is asked among wife's details again. But I guess since it is common for both husband and wife, only one copy should be sufficient, Right?
1. Treat each application as you are submitting it individually. So the person submitting should sign all documents.

I was thinking one photo is to be affixed on the OCI printout generated after online submission. But on the printout, I am not finding any space to fix photo. Instead it prints the photo and signature I have uploaded in the top.
So, does it mean that I have to submit two photos (without signature) in a cover? I am going to Brampton tomorrow (Fri) to submit. It would be great if someone can clarify this ?

I submitted my OCI application at Brampton BLS 2 weeks back, only one photo they took and no signature on the photo required. No need to fix/paste the photo either...

At Brampton, did they ask to show the original of the Address Proof? By the way, any idea whether credit card statement will be accepted as an Address Proof?

Submitted both Surrender & OCI applications at BLS Brampton on Friday.
Yesterday the Tracking status at BLS website changed from "In Transit to Consulate" to "Processing at Consulate".
What is the next status and when is it expected?
Is there any other place to track status at consulate level? What I understand from OCI services website is that tracking there can be done only after application gets acknowledged by Consulate. Will I get some e-mail when it is acknowledged?

As per the checklist , for Proof of Indian Origin :
- they are asking to submit Previous Indian Passport or notarize copies if you don't want to submit the Original.
I have already renounced my Indian Passport , Can I submit the Certificate of Renunciation instead ?

As per the info provided by the BLS staff at the counter when I submitted my application, it will take 15 days to get back your original landing paper plus any other document they took for verification. After that it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get the OCI booklet. So, totally it should take about 45 to 60 days for normal applications if everything is fine. But, if they want additional info and ask to send any other documents it may take some more days.
As per the timelines posted by other applicants in this thread recently, I understand that many people get it in about 45 days (Brampton/ Toronto).
This may change for other Consulates / BLS centres.
