Yeh it is puralator in Calgary too. I usually call them as soon as I see the tracking number and try to plan a common time. What I came to know recently is that you can ask bls to keep the documents with them after they arrive and get it from them..if bls is near to your place..this would be cheaper n better way.

Yes, I applied for Surrender Certificate and OCI at the same time.
Provided the following Originals for OCI

- Landed Passport
- COPR landing doc original
- Citizenship Certificate Original
- Marriage Affidavit

Applied on Nov 9th for Surrender Certificate and OCI at Winnipeg. Yesterday received the Surrender Certificate and Cancelled Passport original.
But Purolator badly messed up the delivery and they didn't update the status properly and I had to go to the pickup center and spent an hour to locate the package.

I still need to receive my Originals sent for OCI from BLS . Hope all docs will arrive soon without issues.

one of my friend travelled to india both with India PPT and Canada PPT. At the departure from india, they asked for the indian visa on canada ppt and he had to spend 2 months in india to surrender india ppt and get OCI before he could travel back to canada

does anyone has experience travelling with both Indian and Candian passports with in the stipulated 3 month grace period after oath? Please let me know.

E-visa is the best choice. Applied and got it in 24 hrs. 75 cad. Does not need surrender certificate.

Yes, I applied the e-visa online, received the approval next day. Valid until Feb 28, 2018. Hopefully I will receive my OCI by then.

As long as some one available to receive your originals here while you are away, you can apply for OCI. I don't think you need any originals to travel to India other than the Canadian Passport and e-visa approval email

I applied for Surrender Cert and OCI at the same time at BLS Winnipeg. You can do both at the same time. BLS will print and attach a Surrender fee receipt to OCI application.

How long it will take to get the originals back from consulate for OCI ?. I applied on Nov 9th at Winnipeg BLS.

Toronto Consulate returned my OCI application to BLS requesting additional documents ( Receipt of Surrender Certificate or Surrender Certificate). I'm not sure what's going on BLS agent attached the surrender certificate fee receipt to OCI application when I applied.

Where should I submit these additional docs, should i go to local BLS Center ?

Anyone with similar experience of submitting of additional docs to BLS ?
