OCI process

Hi,
Can someone please tell me how much does it cost to surrender Indian passport and get OCI? also what is the approximate procesing time for both process?

Mine Dispatch date updated just one day after it was printed.

20th April it printed and 21 st april dispatched

now I am waiting for the Document to be received status to Toronto office .

Normally How many days it will take to reach Toronto office ?

Thanks Hanuman! Yes, I have seen other folks as well mentioning this 2nd date as next day of 1st date. Mine it becomes a week now and still waiting since 1st date displayed. Bit worried.

Somewhere in this thread you will see folks saying 2 weeks(90% cases) for the 3rd date from 2nd date.

With this trend, I feel you better get prepared for it.

I'm also in a critical situation now and might have to travel using emergency services if OCI is not on time.

Today I filled the VISA application form.

Will wait foir tomorrow evening if no date then will submit the VISA application on Friday Morning.

BLS is open on May 1st they only follow the Canadian holidat list.

I will go tomorrow afternoon and check with them.

Today Though of going to BLS in the evening .
Morning when I checked the 3rd date is also populated.
So I went in the morning and submitted my childs passport.

they said it will take 5-8 business days for stamping

By the way, what all do we need to take BLS including Canadian passport?

they just took the original passport and the acknowledge paper which came with Original documents.

That's awesome.. right in time..
i got acknowledgement 31 March. When can i expect expect the first date populated?
Till date its under-process. I have tickets for may 27 !!!!!
