My OCI says it was dispatched from Delhi yesterday on the 12th. When it is likely to reach Toronto? I am flying out on 21st. Is it reasonable to expect to receive it by Purolator at home before 21st? Is there a mechanism to pick it up from BLS Toronto before they hand it over to Purolator?

You can go to BLS and request it but then they receive a bundle of OCI and have no motivation to open and check for one. So will come with lame excuses. Some agents understand your dilemma and do help. So it's based on your luck.

1. My Indian passport has XXXX, Chhattisgarh, India, as a place of Birth, while my Canadian Passport has XXXX, IND. How great are the chances that I need an affidavit for this? What will the format of this affidavit be?
2. I understand no original is required to send along with a postal application.
3. My son has OCI, and I mentioned it in the online application. Do I need to send its Xerox copy, too? Who will attest to it?
4. My wife is an Indian passport holder. Does her passport copy need to be self-attested by her?
5. Does the marriage certificate need to be self-attested?

I don't want to take chances, so BLS cannot return my application; for this, what other points may I need to consider?

• Yes its fine. No affidavit required
• Self attested copies of supporting documents. do not send originals(passports/certificates etc) by post
• Include the copy of your sons OCI
• Yes you should include her passport and details of her status (TRV/PR)
• Yes all supporting documents that you send by post should be self attested
