if you can get appointment or willing to do walk-in and if BLS is near for you, I would suggest to do inperson. you can correct if any mistakes too and submit in one go. In postal , if any mistakes, u will loose 2 weeks time to get your application back. Now you can decide.
You cannot SC and OCI at the same time
Apply and receive SC first and only then apply for OCI
For SC you need Canadian Passport . BLS no longer entertains applications without the Canadian passport/Self Declaration Letter/Passport application under process
I applied oci for my newborn baby at Vancouver location on Jan 12, 2024. And the acknowledgment date in oci website is Jan 24, 2024. When will i get the oci. Because I wanna travel to India urgently. And also please suggest which visa would help me in this situation. I heard that if I am travelling on e-visa then we have to return to some country to get oci stamping and also some people will question us like how did you get your oci without going to Canada.

It would be end of March or Early April to get OCI in hand. You can travel to India on e-visa as OCI is under process. There is no issue in doing that. Do you have plans to live in India for more than 6 months?
Anyone here went to the new BLS Toronto location recently? Just curious to know the experience if the wait for the people who have appointments are still 2 hours?
