Last month people who rcvd their OCI card were having print, dispatch and received on same day but now it seems to have changed, anyone having any idea or input on this.

Dispatched on Jan 3rd
Received in Toronto……..

OCI card has been dispatched from MEA (Delhi) on 29 dec 2023, but not received at Toronto yet. What is the reason for delay? How to get the information for the same? Please help me

Hi I applied for oci for minor in Nov 9, 2023 and acknowledgement was done on Dec 14 which says under process from then. I have flight booked for feb 13,2024 but seems like no movement in the process. Is e visa an option that I can apply ?

EVisa should be quick. I applied for my daughter last night and hers was granted first thing this morning.

Hi,
My spouse has to submit a birth certificate for foreign spouse OCI, but mother name has a different spelling from mother’s name on passport. The correct spelling is the one on the passport and not the birth certificate. Do you think it is going to be a big deal? While filling out the application but the spelling of the mother like the passport.

Has anybody used own purolator pickup to courier application to BLS instead of using one booked by bls?
if yes, did it work and application got tracked on time and processed on time?

I requested an e-visa yesterday and received confirmation this morning - excellent 24 hrs turnaround. This afternoon decided to check on my CGI OCI tracking status - to my absolute surprise, it was finally PROCESSED today! The Govt of India has succeeded in getting me to buy 2 visas- I know a friend who bought 3 visas (e-visa/entry permit / OCI) and of course, nothing is refundable. My timelines via Toronto (Brampton office) for your reference:
Purolator to BLS Oct 21st
Application date per BLS Nov 3
BLS to CGI Nov 7
CGI Acknowledgment Dec 7
CGI OCI status says it has been Processed Jan 4th, 2024
I expect it will take 2 to 3 days before I can pick up from the BLS office (BLS tracking status still shows In Process at the Consulate)

Yes issue there..even removed link from pop-up on landing page
