OCI process

I was expecting to see at least a few today. One data we have for Oct 7 got Ack last week, Oct 8,9 were hoildays, so its time for Oct 10 folks. It can still happen today (31 Oct in IST), but most Acks in the past have come in the morning hours.
The Ack slow down is showing little signs of picking back up. Too may applications I guess.

Most people have received it in 3 to 4 working days after "Processed" update.

Hi All,
I submitted my entry visa like an hour ago and I received an email from VFS that my application is accepted and is with the agent. Is this normal?

Are they keeping the original passport along with the application?

Yes they are. They will stamp your canadian passport with visa same like how we got trv for canada

As per tracker no one with date as Oct 10 also not received acknowledgement so far. Not sure what time status changes.

Hi, I checked mine today afternoon and the acknowledgement appeared today, please check now or later in the day and it should show.
Does anyone know by when can I expect the OCI in hand based on this status? Thankyou

Are they keeping the original passport along with the application?

Yes, this is normalt, it should have your tracking information, use that and keep tracking. Hopefully by tomorrow in the second half, it should reflect as "porcessing at consulate general" Good luck.
I submitted by VISA application on October 27, so will keep the team posted.

I applied OCI-walk-in for minor on Sep 29th at Brampton BLS. Acknowledgment date is October 16 . we have tickets booked for Nov 21 .

My question is,
Should I wait for oci or apply a entry visa?

There is no clear guideline on this from BLS. Last Firday @farooq.ind managed to walk-in to the BLS office (Toronto) at enquiry time and request a courier hold when status changed to "Counter delivery to BLS..." (or probably even before that). Not yet picked up I guess.

@eas2lv I just got back from BLS again. They have not received it there yet and BLS status is still showing "Processing at Consulate General". I wonder if tomorrow also it will be delivered at BLS or not.

PS: The security guy at BLS (who went to check if they received the oci) said it will take another 2-3 weeks. Very disappointing statement to hear. When I told him there are people who got it in 2 days after status changed to "Processed", he said it can vary case to case basis.

I guess I am going to reschedule my tickets

@eas2lv OCI website status is 'Processed' and BLS website status is "Processing at Consulate General". If someone want to change to request pickup instead of delivery, that can be done anytime after acknowledgement I think.

Was your application date oct 10 or 11?
I checked its says no record found

Any updates on the Entry visa? How long does it take to process it? If anyone can state the process/workflow would be great.
