Ok, it could be the case..
In our case we submitted the application on Dec 28. At the counter I was told we should upload the photos before the end of the same day before 6pm
Came out of BLS and sitting in my car itself uploaded the new photos and signatures. Went through without an issue.

Is there anybody who has applied around Feb 11 other than msatishxp. Did you get your original document back, or is the tracker updated saying original is sent back ? Also is the OCI acknowledged on the site ? I applied on Feb 11 and these are still saying "Processing at Consulate General" for me.

Anyone with similar dates / Situation as me ?

I applied on February 4th, Under process at Consulate on Feb 21.
Got documents back on Feb 24.

So, you should get it sometime this week or early next week.

Hi,

A query for OCI fees.

Do we need to Make a Demand draft of each 345$ ( Consulate General of India, Toronto) & 7.4$ (‘BLS International Service Canada Inc )
Or else can I make 345 * 4 = 1380$ and 7.4 * 4 = 29..6$ for 4 people in 1 draft for CGI and BLS.

One or multiple draft for address to CGI, Toronto and BLS respectively will be ok
But if one of the application is returned than the issue is that with one draft you are looking at a challenging situation.
Hence I will suggest you to make individual drafts for each applicant.
Try and submit your application in person will be advisable and preferably at Brampton
You can book appointments under Passport or Visa category if you are not finding appointments under OCI category

Not sure about Canada post, but usually you can reach out to your bank to prepare the drafts. Charges from banks vary depending on what account plan you have e.g. TD's draft charges for All Inclusive Plan is zero, but for other it may vary.
Since you are going to BLS Toronto be very very (and I repeat) very careful because:

• They will force you to pay for courier charges for the OCI and if they decide to retain your original India passports and or original surrender certificates they will again ask you to pay for the courier charges to send these documents back. I believe it will be around $25 per person for each OCI and Indian Passports/Surrender Certificates
• They will force you to buy the EP service (kinda like sms notification/call etc) guess its between 6$ or 12$
• They will force you to buy passport covers 12$
• Plus chances are that the photographs you will bring to BLS, they will reject and ask you to re-take photograph at BLS. It will be around $15 per person...

Just as an FYI, now a days BLS is asking for 2 photographs (hard copies) for the OCI application. I only learnt it from other forum members

since your applying in person you do not need to make the draft for BLS (Draft for CGI will still be needed) as that payment can be done at the counter with a debit card or cash
