I don't think it makes a difference. My application has not been returned so far. But I also have not received my tracking number yet.

Its been about 3 weeks since my application was delivered at BLS Ottawa.

Likewise (& i got my OCI). If you don't have an Indian Visa, don't upload.

The guy at BLS assured me that I will see a status update by the end of Wednesday this week. Lets see if this is true

I submitted my OCI application today at BLS brampton. The fees mentioned in the website is 345 draft + $7.4 BLS fees + $30 + HST (courier fees).

However, after coming home i noticed that they charged 345 + $52.


They provided 3 receipts.

1st receipt 345 + 7.4
2nd receipt for $5 - it mentions nothing in the receipt what is it for.
3rd receipt for another $5 - it mentions nothing in the receipt what is it for.

Anybody applied recently noticed this difference?

One $5 receipt must be for updates over the phone. Not sure about the second. May be you got something photocopied from them.

One $5 receipt must be for updates over the phone. Not sure about the second. May be you got something photocopied from them.

My guess 5$ for passport cover/folder and another 5$ for updates

Lol will be moving to India for 6 months work from home. can't take any other visa
