Do they keep original passport with them for 2-3 months?

Only Indian passports are kept if at all. This is also subjective, some are asked to, other are not. In our case we were asked to submit Indian passports at BLS when we submitted our in person application.
They returned the Indian passport (by courier, which they will force you to pay for) in 3 weeks time.
They don’t keep Canadian passports. They will verify the original and return back to you if you are doing an in person submission

Ok discussing with BLS is the likely best scenario.
Have you tried calling them to ask about your query ?

Hmm Vancouver takes 4weeks from acknowledgment, wish it processes like in 3 weeks from acknowledgment..
let’s hope this week

@msatishxp - Intezar hai aapke Wednesday ki BLS trip ka. Vistaar se batayega ki kis level ki frustration hoti hai..
