Submitted surrender and OCI app together at Edmonton today.
Here is what I provided.
Online OCI App:
1. Canada Passport bio page
2. India Passport first/last
3. Marriage Certificate
Physical Copies for OCI:
1. Application form with photo
2. Canada passport bio page
3. India passport first and last page
4. Landing Paper notarized copy
5. Citizenship certificate
6. Driving license copy
7. Spouse Canada Passport copy
8. Spouse Landing paper copy
Surrender
1. Completed application form
2. India passport original and first/last copy
3. Citizenship certificate copy
4. Canada passport bio page
5. Driving license copy
All copies self attested (other than the notarized one of course)

Hi Seniors,
1) When we upload our documents for new OCI application ,do we need to upload all the pdf files (other than Signature and photo) in one file ?
OR
do we need to upload each pdf file in its own category ?
I mean do we have different categories for uploading CAD Passport , Indian PP, Landing paper ,Marriage Cert etc ?
OR do we need to make one PDF file for all the docs and upload one file ?
2) Which categories do we upload the Citizenship certifcate and Driving Licence (Address proof)
3) One of my file is more than 1 MB even after reduction in size.In the doc checklist it is mentioned that the max file size should be 500KB.
Did anyone face such issue ? How did you handle it ?
1.) Multiple documents needs combine for reach categories as per the checklist
instruction - B) DOCUMENT UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS
For example, when you are uploading documents under INDIAN VISA category
for your minor child born in India, you need to upload a single PDF file that has
total x pages containing your child landing paper + your landing paper + your spouse landing paper+
Refugee Board letter and Notarized affidavit as well for both parents (Only if immigration category is FC ).
2.) Please refer checklist item B) DOCUMENT UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS , If these docs is asked under some category which is applicable for you then only upload.
3.)Even though it is saying max 500KB , In my experience it will take up to 1MB or more , Try uploading it.
Also don't add any unnecessary documents, strictly follow checklist item B) DOCUMENT UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS
for documents need for each category.
Use PDF compress online tools ,if you need to reduce file size, check the quality after compress , document it should be readable.
OCI Fee of $425 has to be in Bank Draft or Money order Only ,
If you applying together with your family members then a single draft for total amount (no of applicants x $425) sufficient,
no need to have draft for each applicants.

For Part B , did you fill only one form for all the entire family ?
Someone tole me that in Part B , there is an option to fill only one form for all the applicants.No need to fill individual applications.
I did not get that option.
Do we have that option ?Does anyone know ?

Process was smooth and I didn't face any issue, all as per instructions on the BLS website. They insist to get OCI and originals back by courier, if not opted it can delay the application. Not sure if this is true but I opted for courier option. Also, in the column of place of birth, I wrote 'IN' in place of 'IND', she said they may return because of this but not sure. so lets see. Anyone else faced any issue due to such small and silly mistake?

Courier service is optional you can always opt for a pickup option, As far as in my case and 2 of my friends cases the processing not delayed ,
looks like they are trying to sell the courier option for a commission.
