Does anyone knows what is a usual timelines after this? How much time it takes to get OCI in hand?
I have to book tkts soon.

Do you have document issued on retirement? you can upload that along with explanation letter

1. She is only applicant - is Marriage Certificate required?

Yes. Any one above 18 and is married need to provide marriage certificate

1. How to upload Signature image?

Sign on a sheet of paper, scan/take a picture of it as per specifications in oci site and upload it

Hello, I am new here. I am trying to fill a fresh OCI application. What exactly do I need to show in the letter mentioning my professional details in Canada? Is there a format?

I have one more question - I do not have my original cancelled Indian passport, must have lost it. I do have a copy of it, however. Can I apply for OCI? What process do I need to follow?

Did they keep your Original Cancelled Indian Passport?

No Originals taken, and not even Originals verified in my case except Canadian Passport, She used it all the time to check the application details + enter some info into her system, then handed it back to me. For child applications she used a cancelled Indian passport copy to verify the parents Names and first page of all applications she tick right Mark to each details and signed at the bottom of each page of the application form and photo copy.

For all the 3 OCI i submitted she didn't take any Original.

Any idea how long it generally takes for Ottawa applicants?Can I submit a query regarding my OCI ? Need to travel in two weeks.

Two weeks is way too short of a time. OCI applications from Ottawa are taking a bit more than 2 months. I suggest that you apply for an entry visa asap for your upcoming travel. Good luck.

Honestly, I do not come across this situation, but I highly recommend you to give a call to BLS.
In general, I added an employer letter.
If you go back on this link, somebody added a letter format for unemployment or not working. That might be helpful for you.
Yes, you need to scan and upload the photo.
Also, read the OCI step-by-step instruction and required documents if you have time.
