just want to understand process.what happens with postal application once its delivered at BLS. its been over a week still says on BLS tracking as no records found.

in my passport my parents name is written as "x y".
When filling up surrender application is x considered given name and y considered surname?

Long time back I made the mistake of giving my parents name as "lastname firstname" in passport. Is the order of these in passport important?

They quarantine it for 4 days before opening it.

I am not even kidding, it is on their website. So anyone sending through post expect at least a week delay.

Try Toronto , walk in early . 8.30 am if you are lucky they might let you in.

Mine reached on 23rd Feb and still says "File does not Exists". Call center says they have received the files should be updated by 8th day(which today).

It's 10:00 PM EST .... No luck

Please only write as per your passport. x = given name, y = surname/last name.

Looks like this is going to be a while for us, for the money that they are charging us the least they can do is give us the minimum service in return

Can we do Passport surrender and OCI application together for same person ?

Apparently not (at least in the GTA). Surrender Certificate is mandatory while applying OCI. If it is bot available your application will be deemed incomplete and returned to you.
