Yesterday when I checked then it was showing that counter delivery to bls centre after oci stamping but today the online status changed to “passport ready for collection after oci stamping “

Hello Guys.

I submitted passport surrender application for my self and my son on Jan 14, 2021 at BLS brampton with appointment. I received my surrender certificate on Feb 9 and submitted my application for OCI the next day on Feb 10. However, I havent yet received my son's surrender certificate yet, although they were submitted on the same day.

Is anyone in the same situation ? Should I just wait or call BLS ( although I cant get through their numbers ever )

I applied on Jan 20, BLS brampton walkin appointment. I have this status since Jan 26

Surrender certificate has been granted and is available for issuance.

After a week it will change to printed and then BLS pick up , then 2 days after u get it. Good luck!

Trying to apply OCI for my minor daughter who was born in Canada.
Vancouver office mentions "No OCI application or service request will be accepted in the offline mode any longer".
Does this mean that every document has to be uploaded online and we should not mail any supporting document to them?

Hi All, for OCI application submission in Ottawa BLS with appointment, do we need to submit our original Canadian passport along with the application ? Since I would need my Canadian passport in the next 2 weeks, it would be riskier to submit.

I had a basic question. Given we don’t need to submit our original passports for OCI stamping, what do we get for OCI now? Is it a card? If so, is the card used for travel purposes?

It simply means that you have initiate the application online, i.e. fill the online application (Part A and Part B). This will generate a file no. Get their prints and go to OCI with all the supporting docs (Canadian passport, surrender, etc etc).
