Passport Surrender question -

Anyone knows what the next steps are ? The application status on passport seva is as below :

Surrender certificate has been granted and is available for issuance.

And its been on that status for the past 1 week. Does this status change ? Do I need to pickup or will it be delivered at home ?

Anyone had experienced the puralator delivered your package to wrong address even after making sure the address was correct? It happened to me and I had called puralator they created case. I am panicking as its original docs that being sent. Anything more I shld do right now?

could someone confirm the timeline that it takes for surrendering the Indian passport?

I am looking to book appointment in the future for OCI. I have my surrendering the Indian passport appointment for tomm

applied December 23rd... current status: "Surrender certificate has been granted and is available for issuance"; its been that way now for over a week. I would therefore suggest atleast 4-5 weeks for the surrender certificate to come through from the date of application in person.

Yes ,$37 extra . But lots of people are not sending the originals , so try without that and if they need that they will let you know.

I applied Dec 24th via Purlator. Status is under process.

Brampton BLS will return your all original documents . I applied it last month.

Did you apply in person or through purolator?
