So Fill the new forms and put the birth place without "IND" as per Canadian Passport ? Also, will old applications cause any issues or confusion as those are already completed with all supporting docs upload.

Yes put it without IND.
Only application submitted to BLS matters. Others just get ignored.

The OCI website didnt update. But the tracking on BLS website updated today to "(Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping)". Does it also update to "dispatch" after this or this is the last update?

There will be "Ready to dispatch or collection" status after this.
 
Hello
Does anyone know how is the lineup for OCI pickup at the BLS Mississauga location ? On the receipt if says collection from 3:30 to 4:30 pm but not sure if it's better to be there like at 1 pm to be able to make it.
Since it's freezing outside and I have to pickup the OCI for my child, I was wondering if there is a huge lineup for pickup.
I should have chosen the courier delivery method (there is no option to request the courier delivery after applying in person)
Did BLS Mississauga mention to you that for pick of child's OCI both parents have to be there?

Our SC and OCI process was done in Nov 2022 and Feb 2023 and in both instances we collected theses documents for the kids in person and that's why I know this is requirement the BLS imposed for pick up of minors documents. Both parents need to provide there ID proof(original) to BLS at the time of collection

Regarding the time, again Brampton standard was that center opened only at 3:00 pm but we started queuing up at 1:45 pm (we were third in the queue then)

Hello All, I had booked an appointment (premium lounge) for applying OCI for my son on Dec 27 but due to medical reasons we were not able to visit the center. I am trying to book another one but it is still showing that you already have an appointment for the same passport. I connected with BLS call support rep and she mentioned that new can’t be booked as existing one is still there in the system. The existing one will lapse after 7 business days from the appointment date. Now 7 bd have gone but still getting same msg. Tried with different centers but no luck. BLS staff will say the same thing that system is still not allowing to book, if I call them and ask them to book one over phone.

Does any one have any guidance on how to book an another appointment? TIA

try using another mobile# and email id and see if it works

Hello there,

I have applied for OCI on December 30,2024. Postal application was sent. Now, when I check the status on BLS website it says processing at Consulate General but when I check status on OCI website, it says NO SUCH RECORD FOUND. I was wondering if Consulate usually take some time to acknowledge the file and after how many more days will I be able to see the status on OCI website ?
