It's 10 weeks from date of acknowledgement.

Today I received an email from the consulate asking about my current employment status, which I had previously indicated as "unemployed." They also requested details about my previous employment and whether I have any experience working with the military.
I’m feeling a bit anxious about this situation. Is it normal for the consulate to ask these questions? Could this affect my application negatively? Additionally, if I respond with the requested information, will the processing time restart and take another 75 days?
Any insights or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated!

I would just be honest and give them the details they are asking for. I don't think there's anything to worry about if your information is true and correct. I don't have an answer on whether this will prolong your application but I would assume it would cause a minor delay. You can always get in touch with them over email and ask for update on timeline if it gets delayed by a lot.

- OCI printed & processed & received at Vancouver on Sept 24th, 2024.

Did you contact BLS about this? How can they just hold on to your OCI for so many days after they received it?

Yes, they told it hasn’t reached BLS yet, I will go and collect after BLS has it. Not sure why they are delaying it.
If in case they dispatch it can I contact Purolator and collect from them to avoid delays, anyone know this ?

Finally, I went and picked up the OCI, not sure what they liked about my OCI card that they hold it for 3 days. Leaving Canada for good

Congrats on getting the OCI finally. BLS is weird. Curious on your decision to leave Canada for good? I am assuming you are moving back to India, or am I wrong about that? Do you forsee any major disadvantages of moving back on OCI for long term?

Thanks. Well Canada can only give me Money but I have some other preferences. This OCI is for my kid, I am still and will always be an Indian. I do not see any issue with long term stay with OCI.

I guess your location is Vancouver but mine is Edmonton. Maybe it will take extra couple of days.
