On the OCI site, should we upload the Indian Passport copy ( stamped CANCELLED) or the same last passport (without stamp) is fine as well ? I am just keeping my OCI app ready, so just wanted to confirm.

You need to upload Cancelled Passport.

We have opted "Pick up" from BLS so after what status we can pick up OCIs?

We have finally picked our OCIs from BLS. Those who have opted for Pick up, make sure you are reaching there by 2 PM to stand in queue as they dont have any token system so its all about wait game.

You need to contact BLS and explain the urgency of your situation. If they agree, they may be able to hold your OCI for you. Typically, they receive OCI in bulk and send it directly to Purolator, so they generally prefer not to search through the lot to locate your specific OCI card, especially if it is already marked for courier delivery. So expect some resistance from them.

For Minors > 5 years age do we need to do Thumb print or Signature( if they can write their name) ? there is lot of conflicting information across the forum. I am planning to do walk-in, any information would be appreciated.

Note: At BLS Ottawa, my kid was asked to write their name while submitting surrender certificate application. So i am not confused which way to go.

Update: BLS updated my tracking number on August 10th, 2024 and it was picked up by purolator on August 12th,2024 and It was delivered home on August 13th,2024.
