Thanks for this update - now I can understand the timeline from BLS Mississauga. I submitted 3 application (same as yours) in person on 28th June so I hope to get all OCIs in August based on your timeline.

Quick question - what does Date of Acknowledgement stand for?

Date of Ack is bascially the date when the OCI team creates a record for your application in their internal system.

Okay thanks for that. I just checked and received Date of Acknowledgement for 2 adult applications
No update on New Born application yet.

Broooo what are you saying? Tonnes of appointments available at many BLS locations - July, August and September! Go on the website now and get an appointment for OCI instantly choosing whichever day you want.

Oh I see! Doesn't matter if you create your application today and go to BLS in August! As long as everything on your application is correct, there is no expiry date.

I am seeking assistance regarding the conversion of child's e-visa to a regular visa, with the goal of obtaining an OCI card. The child, born in Canada, entered India on an e-visa and has been staying in India. The parents are Indian citizens and not OCI holders.

We need guidance on converting the e-visa to a regular visa, including the required documents, application procedure, processing time, ideal time to apply (30-35 days before the 180-day mark), and any chances/reasons for rejection, as well as the process for applying for an OCI card, including eligibility criteria, required documents, application procedure, processing time, and whether we need to visit the FRRO office.
