OCI process

I applied for OCI minor on 4 dec 2023 via postal to BLS Brampton. The date of acknowledgement is 9 Jan 2024 and the OCI was received at Toronto on 17 Feb 2024. But still no updates from BLS (status is still "Processing at CGI") and reached out to the consulate via Sampark but no reply. Is there any other way to reach out to the Consulate and get an update? This application has crossed the 8-week processing time and I am worried if the card is lost somewhere and hence no update. I can see in the OCI tracker excel that applications submitted after mine have been received. Anyone on the same boat?

You can try and contact BLS Brampton though email(if you haven’t so atm). Do mention the application and passport# to them when you follow up

Hi.. I submitted OCI application for my wife and toddler (less than 2 years old) on Feb 26. My wife's application got the acknowledgement on Mar 8. However, my toddler's application has not been acknowledged yet. Is that normal? Just to mention, I paid two different drafts just to make sure one application does not affect the other.

Should I wait for any communication from MEA (or) I just have to wait and see?

Each application is independent and has it's own journey.
That's normal.

So, just wanted to know if there is any option that I can still opt for courier delivery.

I was reading somewhere if you are coming to pick up your OCI card you need to wait in line outside and they only entertain certain number of people per day.
So, just wanted to know if there is any option that I can still opt for courier delivery.

Yes. They only give token to about 25-30 people in a day. You can go to the BLS after 3PM and tell security that you want to get your document couriered.

Just go there a hour before to queue up so you are early in the line. They start at 3 so try and be there by 1:45/2 pm to be first in the line

i checked today, it says Vancouver received my oci on 19th march. I don’t know how long it will take to deliver it ?. My acknowledgment date is 11th Jan 2024

try and get an employment letter from the firm! I did the same. If you need a professional details letter, I am not sure if I can do that.
