We can submit both on the same day. First give the surrender certificate and get it's receipt to attach to the OCI application. Not sure if it is all done at the same window/counter or there are separate for each process.

BLS Brampton is accepting walk-in so Toronto should also be doing it. But you never know. Let's wait for other's experience about Toronto.

Yes you can surrender Indian PP and make OCI application on the same day and I think BLS Toronto should accept as in Calgary BLS they are accepting walk in.

Today I have sent my OCI and Indian passport surrender application through pick up service of Purolator. have attached original landing paper, original Canadian citizenship certificate and original Indian passport alongwith two bank drafts and a photo ($425 in favor of Consulate General of India Toronto and $257.80 in favour of BLS International Services INC) I have also attached self attested photo copies of Canadian Passport, Indian Passport, Canadian Citizenship certificate, Landing paper and one Photo id issued by Service Ontario for residence proof. OCI application one set and Surrender of Inedian passport application two sets. One photo was fixed on surrender application. OCI application was filled online, photo and signatures were uploaded. Customer care service helped me in generating four Purolator shipment of $30.70 each($122.8) (1) Pickup application from home, (2)return of original documents, (3)return of Indian Passport and (4) sending OCI by BLS
With the able guidance and cooperation of forum members I have completed my journey of PR in Aug 2015 to becoming Canadian and applying OCI. With deepest regards to every one.

Today I applied for PP Cancellation and OCI in BLS, Toronto. I am not sure they are allowing walk-ins, I was allowed in only after showing appointment confirmation.

Both cancellation and OCI was done in the same window. Note that you might need 3 photographs.
In BLS office they were maintaining proper social distancing.

Total charges: $349.20

I was told i will get the Cancelled PP in 4 weeks
Landing papers in 4 Weeks, OCI in 6 weeks.

Isn’t Surrender $250 and OCI $425? How was it so cheap?

On contact customer care representative informed me that my application will be uploaded by tomorrow and I will be getting tracking number and details. I hope either you might have been given the registration number or you may also be getting over email like in my case. Regards

Yes, correct BLS gave me 2 tracking numbers, one for PP Cancellation and one for OCI.

OCI charges:
425 + 38.1 (bls fees +courier + hst +debit card fee) =463.1

Passport Surrender charges:
243 + 38.1 (bls fees +courier + hst +debit card fee) =281.1

Total = 744.2 for both process.

You can track both using the reference numbers you generated while filling in the application OCI reference starting with CANT.... and passport surrender reference number starting with 20-xxxxx at https://www.blsindia-canada.com/trackapp.php

Most likely both status will be Processing at Consulate General if delivered to the consulate.

1.No.2) Return of original and No. 3) return of Indian Passport , are they separate couriers , why can't they send them together?
2. Is there an option for pick up from BLS for all original docs, Indian passport and OCI to avoid courier charges?

Corrected the typo. instead of 38.1 I earlier wrote it as 31.8.
