My place of birth as per Indian PP is Mumbai MS
Place of birth as per Canadian PP is Mumbai IND
I selected on the OCI online application Mumbai, which then asked me to select the state (Maharashtra)

Is there any further update on this? Recently many candidates are facing this issue, which was not the case earlier.

Everyone gets that message when their OCI is processed and reaches BLS for delivery. Your case (and that of @rover560) is different as its less than a week from application. Call BLS to find out.

I'm looking at the Toronto tracker and I see that so far only 2 applications with application date in Oct have received acknowledgement. Is this accurate, or have folks stopped updating this file? I realize it is a very small subset of the total applications, but still this is a good indicator (I assume) of the general trend. Not sure when Oct folks should receive acknowledgement as I'm in the same boat (Oct 2). No updates yet

That's correct. Right now its taking 16-17 days for Ack, no surprise Oct folks are still waiting. It was about 13 days for most people in the whole of September. Also note that sept 30 -Oct 2 was a long weekend for the consulate but not for BLS. That also could have contributed to some backlog. In addition to the increased influx in recent weeks.

"BLS line stander" is a new service offered on kijiji (in GTA). One ad says "100% gurrenty to get oci card" (sic).. lol..
