Thank you both very much. That was the sort of info we needed. Alpha, I understand the grandparent info for my father is not needed but will there be any penalty if I include it anyway since I already have it and would feel incomplete if I didn't put it in?
Hi Goshojosh06
I received my son's AOR today. However, when I logged into ECAS using UCI/Application number in the email, it still states that "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided"
Would you mind telling me when was the ECAS information available to you? Was there a lag between AOR email and ECAS information?
Thanks
So, we're about ready to send in our next attempt. If anyone's interested, here's my timeline so far:
June 1: Mailed in Wisconsin, USPS
June 12: Delivery accepted.
July 10: Application returned, initialed, with errors listed and questions highlighted, stapled together with a two page explanation.
I'm trying to get this done in the middle of an extended family gathering, dropping off and picking up children at summer classes and events, and general mayhem but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to mail it tomorrow. This time I believe I'll spring for six day delivery.
Still hasn't got the citizenship certificate
Not sure how long the mailing process usually takes but the Canada post website states that for national regular mails it should arrive within 4 business days.
It's already been 6 business days (from July 13 to July 20)
Begin to panic a bit
Hey andrewhl... not sure about shipping times. I've been out of the country for two weeks but get back tomorrow and I'm hoping the certificate is there waiting for me. Surely yours will come soon!
My application was delivered June 12, sent back to me for rework and didn't arrive till July 10. That's 24 business days from their arrival to mine. Even assuming it took them a week to process it, that's a long time in the mail. I'd give it a few more days before flipping the panic switch.

Josh, and Andrew, what was the name in the email address that sent you the notices? Not the whole email, just the part before the first dot. I'd like to create a filter to catch it. I'm worried that it might get caught in the spam filters.
Also, does anyone know how they notify you if your second attempt fails? I know they don't return the application forms, and it appears that email is only used for applications that are accepted for processing. If I made another mistake, they'll tell me about it, right?
Hey! It actually hasn't arrived yet. Congrats that your son's has! Did you apply from Canada?? I'm thinking it's taking a long time due to international shipping? Not too worried yet but hoping it shows up soon.

Andrew, if you log into check my status, does it still show the status as "In Process", even though when you click it, it says the certificate has been sent?

Right now it says complete
but when I checked the account last week, even after it shows " the certificate has been sent out", the status was still showing "in process"
