Usually it takes 6-8 weeks on average but the process has been faster- so u never know.
1 more day has been added in March for the ceremony- 23rd march - 2 sessions. It will b good to know whether 2015 test takers are getting invited for these sessions- it will give an idea how long on average its taking
How do you know about the next coming oath ceremony(ies)? did they appoint a citizenship judge in Ottawa Office or not yet? Two months and you haven't heard anything back from them...that is indeed ridicules ... I wish I waited a bit more in Mississauga, the Oath ceremony takes place right after the test!

The below website tells you about the oath ceremony dates all over Canada. Yes, I agree. Ottawa is the slowest. The oath ceremonies are very few. Be patient. I am very optimistic that something good will happen before August. May be you will have your oath ceremony on July 1st, ;D . Cheer up. ;D
yeah, and I never received a RQ)))) after 3 month of waiting I called them to ask when my oatrh date was scheduled. They just simply told me that my file was sent to Toronto for a residency review 2 months before. Its not necesseraly to get a RQ to get your file in backlog. They may simply send your file for a review to St Claire office. Those guys will ask you additional info. Passing test in many cases means nothing. Hope that all of you guys waiting for an oath will avoid it but I know a lot of lads that are in the same boat as me in Ottawa. I passed the test 20\20 then had a quick interview with an IO and was tald to wait oath from 1-3 months. Instead my file was sent to St Claire. Good Luck to you all. Save your nerves and be patient))
non visa waiver country . of course traveled ( we are PRs not inmates in prison LOL))) but I did not travel a lot - just same day visits to US and visiting parents back home. overall I had more needed days for residency than even required. so basically I thing that CJ possibly was in bad mood while reviewing my file. It costed me another year of helpless waiting
Applications are now processed in one step. Your citizenship application is now reviewed and decided on by 1 citizenship officer.
Previously, it was reviewed by 1 citizenship officer, 2 citizenship judges, and then 3 citizenship officers. ( )
