Hi . My oath ceremony is on 25th Oct 2023 in Toronto. But I need to go India on 27th Oct.
Kindly tell me:
1 Can I go to India immediately after oath ?
2. I will become Canada citizen after oath or after getting Canadian passport ?
3. Or I should go India first and take oath after six month on my return from India?
4. Will ircc agree to my request for postponing oath ?
5.should I wait for ircc reply before leaving ?
6. How many times in a year they do oath ceremony ? Is there any fixed time for this?
Kindly help me in this confusing situation.
Regards

1 You have to surrender your passport in India and get an exit permit to come back to Canada. Something new, not a lot of info available on that.
2 After oath
3 Better if you do that
4 You can give visa ban reason which they should agree with
5 Yes, else for no show you may get final notice to appear and if you can't make it for that your application will get rejected. Better take approval.
6 Depends on the processing office there is no fixed count

My 2 cents-
Getting a passport within 2 days is tough as you need certificate which takes time and then getting passport would be tricky to get.

Rescheduling oath can lead to a lot of delay sometimes can take 6+ months too. If you lucky can happen soon too.
