New: oath ceremony and PR card

Hi . I received invite oath ceremony Mississauga. Email says,.if you need pr card for urgent travel contact us immediately. I emailed them but no answer and phone not connecting ircc.
Kindly guide me that should I attend oath ceremony and will they give me PR card to travel back?
Is it new thing that they can give you pr card after citizenship oath ?

PR card has to be cut during oath ceremony. They asking so that they can reschedule your oath if your reason would be serious enough.

The PR card is a card held by canadian permanent residents.
You're no longer a permanent resident after your oath, and that card is rendered useless even if you somehow keep it and don't cut it during the ceremony.
You need to get a canadian passport for urgent travel, or as @forw.jane said, reschedule your ceremony.

Yes you have to do in front of oath officer.

well you can try and use a proxy in the ceremony and see how does that go and let us all know about it

You cut your PR card during the ceremony, just before taking the oath. If you are travelling internationally within the next two weeks, you should reschedule the ceremony. If you are traveling nationally (not to US or elsewhere), you can use another piece of ID.

It would even be hard to get an emergency passport in such short timelines (because you have to assume that there are no delays in getting you your certificate).

Anyways that is a long message to say that once you do your ceremony you aren't getting your card back.
