Thank you so much! Some people said that financial ability of sponsor is not requirement for family(spouse) sponsorship. Means…..no minimum requirement
That's correct, there's no minimum requirement, but they will still want to check your financial status to ensure you're not on welfare (receiving social benefits) and/or that you have ability for financial stability if you're unemployed. They still want you making something, and if not, to ensure that you can obtain funds (legally, of course) through some other means in order to support the principal applicant (since they don't have access to work, medical, etc.) And if you aren't financially stable, they could still deny your application for lack of financial ability. So investigating the sponsor's financial status is still part of the eligibility assessment
Hello, I had applied on 20th Nov, Got my AIP/SA on 9th Jan. PR Tracker shows background is in progress, since jan 4th, rest all are marked complete(GC Key still shows eligibility in check). Just wanted to check the average timelines for inland from AIP-ECOPR.
Also, should I apply for OWP or wait for the COPR, as the timeline shown online for OWP is 120 days. Thanks!
Hi, AIP was sent by email to principal applicants ID. SA was sent via registered post. No GCkey update/email for either. Gckey still shows eligibility in progress, tracker shows completed.

Hi there, may I ask how's the tracker status of SA? Mine is a bit weird, it does show eligibility completed when you open "application history" but on the main page it shows "in progress".

Hi, for me it shows in progress as well. After clicking on application history, everything is marked complete, except for background, which shows in progress, since Dec last week.
