Does everybody do FP?

No, not everybody. IRCC requests for it. Many applicants get their BG completed without FPs.

They received my FPs on January 15th, and no update since.

I don't understand. BG and Prohibition left God knows when we will get an update

I agree, there is no transparency in the process.

On the positive side, just had a look at the excel tracker. Looks like the first of the November applicants got an oath ceremony update.

I applied on 4th Nov.
Everything is in process except test completion

Question: Heard Niagara Falls office is the slowest?Any insight?

My application is at Niagara Falls IRCC as well. It's on the slower side from what I understand.

Hi, I am. Applied Nov 6th, AOR Nov 30. Test is completed. Even though IRCC received my Fingerprint results on Jan 15th, my BG is still in progress. LPP in progress. Did you have to give Fingerprints?

Hi, I have submitted by Application on nov 6th , AOR on Nov 30th. Test updated as completed on Jan 15th , called IRCC and they said IRCC received FP on Jan 16th but no update after that. Submitted my FP on jan 15th 2024. LPP & BG is in progress.

The fingerprints you provided for your PR application ( I also did in 2021) is part of the biometric collection process and you have to do it via Service Canada. Fingerprints for citizenship process are different, and it’s for criminal record check, identity verification and prohibitions. For your citizenship application, mostly, you are required to provide fingerprints via RCMP or RCMP accredited fingerprinting agency for the purposes of criminal record check and prohibitions assessment.
