What is ghost update? How to check it in citizenship application tracker?

It is when the date at the top right corner changes without any new updates showing in the tracker. That usually means someone worked on your file, but sometimes it can be simply a system update.

@Here I had a same case but I got the email before the test window starting date so don't worry you will get it. Keep checking your Spam and Junk folder.

I took citizenship test on Jan 04, but the test result still does not show up on tracker as completed. Is it normal? It has been a week already!

In the requirements, I know that it says to have filed taxes for at least three years but I just read in a practices test app (not official) that you are also supposed to have paid any amount owing to the CRA. Is this true? I have a payment plan set up with them and don't want that to hold things up.

Ps. I was sent an invite for the test today.

I think so, it took 2.5 weeks for my tracker to update (with Christmas/New Years in between)

It's should not cause any issue as you have something planned with another government co i.e. CRA

It's weird, looking at past appliactions BG used to get done before test but they seem to have changed the way they do things. I am still waiting and my test was marked as complete Dec 30th

I see this trend since November 2023 Applications. Not sure what has changed.

Its not a generic email as it comes from the office processing your application.

How long does it take to get test invite email. My wife has test invite on tracker for Jan 17 to Feb 16. But there is no email yet with details.
