Ughhh, seems like the background check will take forever, I have been waiting since Feb 26th
is it usually a month or 2?
It could take longer too. It isn't about total time it takes, it is also about the wait time between sub stages of background check. The latter is where it usually takes longer.
What is it that you are worried about? "Review required" is a pretty common tag that says someone else needs to cross check your A11.2 assessment.
Does it in anyway affect are application negative/positively if we order GCMS notes?
Even more than 5 years; mine was from March 2018 and they accepted it 5 days ago
Are you an Outland or inland? I think this rule is for only inland applicant not Outland.

Correct, CEC-Inland and never leaved Canada for more than 6 month after arriving

Zero negative or positive impact on your application.

is there any chance of rejection? they have verified my POF, medical , NOC code , Language test, bio metric and Education detail. same has specified in GCMS note. not sure what exactly it is for A11.2 and R87

No one is ever directly rejected at this stage. They can send you an additional document request or a procedural fairness letter in the worst case. You should read about them if you are interested.
I'm not sure what you mean by your last line, but at this point of time you are worrying for no reason.
My profile was updated last on March 5th.I am really getting worried.Should I call IRCC to check the status?

Hello everyone, quick update:
I called IRCC just now, my background verification has been in progress since a month now. They told me it still hasn't started (everything else is completed) but my visa office is RROC.
Can anyone advise please?

RROC are usually quick with handling cases. Do you know by any chance if your file was transferred to them from another office or was it the first one assigned to process your application?
I'm in the same position, CPC Ottawa everything completed, Security not started. Criminality and Info sharing is complete
